PLANET FITNESS CELEBRATES GRAND OPENING OF ‘JUDGEMENT FREE’ GYM IN MILWAUKIE
MILWAUKIE, Ore. – December 20, 2022 – Planet Fitness, one of the largest and fastest-growing franchisors and operators of fitness centers with more members than any other fitness brand, today announced the grand opening of its new Milwaukie club located at 10898 SE Oak Street in Milwaukie, Oregon.
The new Planet Fitness at Milwaukie Marketplace is a one over 2,200 franchise clubs in the nation. To celebrate its grand opening, now through January 14th, the new Planet Fitness is offering an incredibly affordable membership of just $1 down and $10 per month.

· Crowd Meter: A convenient Crowd Meter feature on the Planet Fitness App allows members to check club capacity in real time before leaving their house.
· Strict Cleanliness Protocols: Strict protocols underscore the club’s commitment to continually clean and sanitize high-touch areas, while guests are invited to use any of the cleaning stations marked with a yellow flag throughout the floor area as available for member use.
The American Psychological Association found that more than half of U.S. adults (53%) have been less physically active than they wanted to be since the pandemic began, with a majority (61%) experiencing undesired weight changes, averaging 28 to 41 pounds gained.1In addition, a national study commissioned by Planet Fitness in April 2022 shows more than three out of four (77%) Americans report at least one aspect of their overall health and wellbeing has been negatively impacted by the pandemic. Similarly, Planet Fitness also found that 87% of Americans note that their mental health and physical wellness are co-dependent and nearly 116 million (47%) of Americans feel hopeful that they will soon start to feel better, both physically and mentally.2 The new club looks forward to providing a safe place for everyone to exercise and better both their physical and mental wellbeing.
